Milspouse Conversations™ hosted our first in-person event, Saturday, September 14 at Fort Belvoir in Metro D.C. Our main focus was to start conversations. The turn out was lovely, and we are already planning our next event in October. Trust us. You do NOT want to miss it!
One important step in building new relationships, connecting and growing is to start conversations with others.
A delicious breakfast kicked the event off
Flavor & Taste Bakery provided our breakfast pastries. A military spouse owned and licensed home-based bakery with an emphasis on providing EXCEPTIONAL flavor & taste!
Owner, Kimberly Gaddis provided a delicious spread of pecan scones that will melt in your mouth. Pumpkin spice cookies, and coffee cake muffins.
Thank you for donating the yummy goodness for our first event!
Find A Simple Common Denominator - Ice Breaker
Our first event was about introductions. Introductions are important in building relationships, and getting any conversation started. We started simple.
- Your name
- Favorite color
Something as simple as someone's favorite color can get a conversation going. And it did.
With tummies full and the introductions behind us, it was time for some fun and connections.
The timer was set, and it was time for a game of BINGO. No, not just any game of BINGO. FIND Someone Who....
Download yourself a copy from the link above, and print for your next ice breaker.
This game got everyone moving, chatting, and laughing. It was a great way to connect and opened the door for new relationships to form.
There were winners! We had two winners from BINGO and a few door prizes from our drawings at the end of the event.
Winners had a choice of a few prizes that were donated by the following businesses.
We want to thank each of our donors for donating prizes for our attendees!
