Create A Vision Board and Level Up In 2020

Milspouse Conversations™ December event was all about LEVELING UP IN 2020!

We hosted a vision board workshop, which brought about great conversation about areas in our lives that we wanted to change and grow.

We each set some goals and shared them on our boards and with one another.

Our event started with dinner sponsored by Bozzelli Bros. Deli.

It was delicious!

After we filled our tummies and had some good ole laughs, we got busy working on our vision boards.

Trust, we continued talking and laughing as we worked on our boards.

Create Your Vision Board Today

Are you wondering what a vision board is or why you should do one? Maybe you're rubbing your head, wanting to know how to create one for yourself. No worries, we will help you get started.

What Is A Vision Board

A vision board or dream board is a collage of

  • images
  • pictures
  • and affirmations
of your dreams and desires. It is designed to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation to attain goals.

Why You Should Create A Vision Board

When you hear or see the word vision, do you think: visual?

Something you can see.

Something that will stand out.

Something that will make you remember your dreams and goals.

Creating a vision board will serve as a visual for you to strive for whatever changes, dreams, or goals you have on it.

How To Create Your Vision Board

You need material.

Let's talk about a few of the supplies you need. You probably have most of them around your house.

Supplies You Will Need To Create Your Vision Board

  • Magazines or old books with graphics and quotes - visit hair salons or doctor offices and ask for their old ones.
  • Glue - we used stick glue.
  • Scissors
  • Poster Board, corkboard, blank art book, or a large sheet of paper
  • Stickers, ribbon, etc. if you want to get fancy

Decide On A Couple Of Visions For Your Vision Board

During our event, we all worked on two to three visions we wanted to see come alive.

Some of the areas consisted of health, business goals, money, and more.

There are NO wrong areas of life to include on your vision board.

You can separate your board into different sections or place everything at random. However you want. Again, no wrong or right way. This is your board, and its purpose is to give vision for you in 2020.

Time To Create Your Vision Board

Now that you have your supplies, it's time to get started.

No worries if you don't know what you want to place on your board. Start thumbing through the magazines.

The pages will inspire you.

Start cutting out pictures. You might cut them out and place them to the side, or you may start randomly putting them on your board. Do what you like.

It's never too late to do a vision board. You can do one alone or throw a vision board party. It's also a great idea to do with your family too.

Closing Out 2019 With Milspouse Conversations

After creating our boards, we continued enjoying ourselves with conversation and more food.

There were also some great giveaways.

One lucky milspouse won a box from BraveCrate. Brave Crate is a subscription service offering deployment countdown boxes for military spouses.

The hat was super cute. You can see one of our meetup attendees rocking it in the group picture above.

The Greene Turtle of Alexandria donated gift cards for each of the attendees.

The co-creators thanks everyone for making the first four months of business fun and a success. We can't wait to see what 2020 has in-store.

If you're in the D.C. area, come on and join us!

Be sure to join our Facebook group to be in the know and join in on the conversations no matter where you're located.
